Regional Speaker Cabinet Builder
« on: 28 Dec 2020, 07:58 pm »
Throwing out an idea for custom speaker enclosures. So I sold my businesses in October and retired and moved to a larger house with a full basement in April. I am setting up my woodworking shop to have the capacity to build custom speaker enclosures. I have access to veneers and hardwoods in my area. My thoughts are to cater to audiophiles who want to try a kit or a design from some of our forum builders kits but don't have the capacity to build cabinets. I am not sure if there is enough demand and the feasibility of shipping further than a few hundred miles. Feel free to throw out ideas and comments. It will be a few months before I am fully up and running. Thanks

I've always wanted to try a pair of GR Research speakers but the cabinet build precludes that -- I have neither skills nor tools.

I'm in SC less than 4 hrs from you so I'll be keeping an eye here to see if you do get your business underway.      :thumb:

Thank you Jason, that means a lot coming from you. I bought a CNC to make those complicated baffles and speaker cutouts easier.
