Greeting Earth people
« on: 6 Nov 2018, 04:20 am »
I joined primarily to learn more about Spatial Audio products and was intrigued by them at Capital Audio Fest this past weekend. I'm also a proponent of ultra low powered amps and high efficiency speakers. Currently running Triode Lab 45M monoblocks into Zu Audio Druid V's.

Spatial's room was delivering very good sound.

Zu was supposed to be at the show but was MIA.

Welcome to the sweet spot.

Thanks all! Was definitely intrigued enough by Spatial at CAF to seek out a more thorough demo at LTA. Zu was at the show but at the far end and not a great sounding room.

Welcome!

Spatial and Zu are great speakers but can also take a lot of power and play loud so I'm not sure they are the ideal match for low powered SET amps. Omega are also very good, have no crossover, and are designed around low powered amps. SET amps are also excellent when used in a multi-amped horn system.

For speakers like Zu, if you want to stay SET I'd look into larger models using high voltage tubes like 211, 845, 805 and GM70. Then you'll have the power to drive them more fully.

GM70 tube always worth to try, impressive bass and mid rabge and easy to delivery 30W Triode at low cost (under $30 usd) each, can run from 900V to 1650V plate.

Hello again all,

Question... I'm still getting a banner stating I need to introduce myself in the Starting Block which I've clearly done and also do not have permission to search any forums. Am I missing something? I've searched Help etc. to no avail. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
