Bryston speakers
Hi, this is a recent white paper from Bryston explaining all the reasons why they decided to build their own loudspeakers, which started in 2012, after having been an audio electronics maker since the 70s.
Basically, they couldn’t find loudspeakers that can provide both accuracy of sound reproduction and also deliver the dynamic output that the Bryston amps can produce.

Enjoyed reading the white paper. Some interesting items in there.
My only quibble is that Bryston couldn't find other loudspeakers that could allow the Bryston amp to perform at it's best.
There are indeed a few brands that would fit the bill:
1) Dynaudio: They also make their own drivers, and are considered among the best available
2) Focal: Similar approach to Dynaudio
I know that Dynaudio ensures each speaker they send out measures within 1 db. Hard to beat that.
Another set of speakers that would work very well are the T+A Criterion line. They are among the best speakers I've come across, and exhibit a wide dispersion area.
So, while I'm confident Bryston loudspeakers perform vey well, there is competition out there for the market.

Vienna Acoustics' speakers do very well paired with Bryston amps. Especially the 4B2 and 14B2.
Divine, really, with Bryston DAC/players upstream. :thumb:

Speaking of other speakers.. If I remember, James used Magnepan 20.7s before Bryston developed their own speakers...

Gee. Great. I got the Magnepan 20.7s in mid March 2018. They are KEEPERS. Last speakers I will buy.. (I am 70 anyway...) I was going to buy Magnepan 3.7i and then decide what the Hell. go for the big ones...

I still run my JBL Ti 120s . Got them in late 1989. Over the years I have tweeted them to the limit and each time have increased their performance...great old Lansing designs never get old... :thumb:

Yes, I'm a big JBL fan too. I don't have any Ti models in my collection yet, but would snap them up if I had the opportunity do so at a fair price.
BTW: I like your stands. I'm guessing they don't resonate much.
So Far... L16, L26, L20/t3 and 4430.

Legacy speakers…..even though they are very efficient they love that Bryston power.
Then again my Bryston model A2 enjoy my 9BSST/2.

I believe my Mini T’s will see me through to the end. I’ve been experimenting putting together my “retirement” system, have been downsizing somewhat and after trying several speakers that I consider appropriate for my taste in sound and would work in my room with my system, nothing beat the Mini T.
The Mini T's are a rare speaker that certainly has it's charms!!!

I have been using Thiel (cs2.3 & cs3.6) speakers for a while with Bryston front end signal feeding. Signal path starts with a BDP-2 and goes into a BDA-2 then into McIntosh C22 pre and MC462 SS amp. I found the Bryston front end took some edge off the top end brightness that sometimes effects Thiel speakers. Performance wise I'm very happy with the Bryston front end and manage it via Roon so I've bypassed Manic Moose for now, not that MM was an issue since I'm a programmer for a living. Just some patience and persistence, don't worry about screwing up as you can always reboot and reset to factory specs...

James - I’m curious who makes the black audio rack that is featured in the first and last pictures. It looks really good with the Bryston stack. Thanks, Andrew.
