cbbutler Intro
« on: 18 May 2020, 05:14 pm »
Hello all!

I am a military service member in SoCal and I'm just getting into high-end audio. I'm looking for as much relevant information as I can get when it comes to piecing together my new home theatre system. I plan to start out from scratch, making the most of every penny I spend. I don't have any experience in woodworking our building in general but love the look of the equipment I've seen so far! By the time I'm done, I would love to have a great system for both listening to music and movies with powerful accurate bass and clarity.

That means DIY, at least as far as the speakers are concerned.  :thumb:

I was considering buying a pair of Pedistale from GR and an amp under $600. Thoughts??

I don’t know anything about those speakers in terms of how they sound. Which amp did you have in mind?

I’m considering the Onkyo TX-NR696 or the Denon AVR-X1600H.
