Headphone Mania Circle needs new Facilitator
« on: 26 May 2019, 03:18 am »
I was contacted by a friend of milford3 (the facilitator for Headphone Mania Circle) who informed me that due to medical reason he can't be facilitator anymore. I don't know any details, but we'll respect his wishes and hope that he's OK.

Is there someone else who would like to take over the role of facilitator for the Headphone Mania Circle?

Thanks!
Rich

Well, tell us what the person has to do?
If it includes working 18 hours day in day out..Corralling audiophiles endlessly... Like herding a thousand cats with nothing but an empty tuna can I am told...
Or not?  :thumb:

Best wishes to milford3, I'm sorry to hear things aren't going well for him.

On headphones... after some time not doing much, Focal here just had a two-day flash sale.... more after I get it.

Congratulations Alex for your new task, headphones are a fascinating technology with powers to surpass standalone speakers in the near future.

Thanks Guys and Gals for the warm reception.

As many of you know i have been on the circle for years, and having started out with 2 ch stereo stuff back in the 60's, the Heathkits, Dynaco, DIY, and God knows how many thousands of dollars I have spent on this stuff over the years..... :D

Always wondering if something else is better technically and sonically.

Speaker systems can get very costly, so at my "age" of a tender "69" soon to be 70 in a month and retired I find headphones although many are getting up there in price, and the ancillary equipment are relatively more affordable IMO.

That said thanks again and lets talk "headphone stuff"...

Any ideas on the current stickies? Any neeed to be removed or added etc please let me know.

Its been quiet on the circle for some time and I hope we can get energized and chat abit more on our favorite "mania"!!

Welcome and thank you Alex.

We are all hoping the best for Milford3.  I do know his array of cans is impressive.  He was always go big or go home.  Powered by Schiit Audio.  Good choices for sure.

Hoping Milford3 regains his health!  :thumb: And thanks Alex for picking up the torch.  Cans are cool and I have recently dipped my toes into the world of IEM's and portable DAC/headamp toys.  Have enjoyed reading posts here over the years.

Best wishes with the new (to you) Circle!
