Best isolation for new Oppo 203 bluray player?
« on: 15 Jan 2018, 11:08 pm »
Currently modding one of these, done the electronics side if it, now looking at mechanicsl damping.
Considering damping the chassis with dedshete or the like, but also isolation feet.
Came across herbies as well recommended, will go with a set kf these.
Whats recommended?

3 or 4 feet? (any option better?)

Is the normal Tenderfoot tall enough for the Oppo, or should I go for the taller type.
(Think the normal will be ok)

Thanks very much. :)

Same reccommendations as for the earlier Oppo’s?
Still unsure on 3 or 4 feet under the player?

Thanks.

The soft fat dots have been recommended to me elsewhere for under my dac and Oppo..

Are the Tenderfeet known as “better” isolators for equipment than th Dots?

Thanks.

I always buy the “tall” Tenderfoot footers; more versatile, and yes, they work with Oppo players.
The Lab here has always said the Tinderfoot footers are meant to be used in sets of four.

Just for reference by others looking at this topic:

I use 4 Tenderfeet under my modified Oppo 105 (NOT under the Oppo's feet). Previously I used the same arrangement under my Oppo 95, and expect the same arrangement is optimal for UPD-203 and UDP-205 players.
