Best GR kit for 21L (.75cu) Cab
« on: 5 Apr 2012, 09:51 pm »
I have some PE 21L (.75cuft) cabinets that I would like to use. Baffle width and depth seem okay, but I see the 2-way kits use half the size and the N3 considerably more. Can I go ahead and use them anyway (at the cost of some power handling I'm guessing, but I listen at low-moderate levels).

That might be close to the internal volume of a sealed N3 or AV2.

Your .75 cu-ft PE cabinets would be suitable enclosure for the N3S ( Sealed) if their width is 8 inches. If their width is 10" they would not be suitable. Seems to me someone posted pictures of their N3S built using the 8" width Parts Express .75 cu-ft cabinets which they said worked great. If you use the N3S for your front mains then a good subwoofer is required to extend the low bass below 65 Hz.
