What are the differences between the Lexicon NT 212 and the Bryston 3b st which looks to be the same except for the labeling? Thanks in advance for all replies.  :)

There are very few ST versions of the Lexicon - most were NRB versions.
5 Year warranty on the Lexicon.

What's the difference between the ST and NRB?  I ask because I have a Lexicon NT 512.

The ST used a different input stage and different signal circuits than the NRB. The output section was very similar.

Hi James,

I assume that if you lift the lid on a NT212 amp and ST is printed on all the circuit boards inside, then you are looking at a re-badged 3BST.
Or is it not as easy as that!!!!!!

Yes the designer always 'signs' the boards so if it says ST on the circuit boards it is an ST.

Were these amps actually made by bryston or licensed out to lexicon? Also if repair work is needed does the owner send it to bryston or lexicon? Also what were the manufacture dates of the lexicon 212 amp? I ask because I was thinking of picking up one of these secondhand for another system.
  Thanks

Bryston made them and the repair status is indicated here:

Sorry for such late reply, but this thread is in first lines while searching web for rebadged lexicons. Bryston says here http://www.bryston.com/PDF/Schematics/3B-8BST_SCHEMATICS.pdf (page 20) that 3B ST is Lexicon 212. No other mention anywhere. To my understanding there were no NRB's rebadged to Lexicons. As well, it is quite easy to distinguish NRB from ST by short look of the faceplate: all NRBs do have green leds which are very apart from each other, close to the edges, while ST less are just in the center above power knob.

Best,
