"The SP-3 is an uncompromisingly superb analog preamp that also includes Bryston's excellent 24/192 DACS....."  He tests it with the Sony XA5400ES and the Oppo BDP-95 Blue-ray player and reported finer detail than he got from the analog outputs of either front end.  There's much more but I don't want to spoil the fun when you get to read the review.

Congrats on another stellar achievement, James.  ".....uncompromisingly stellar analog preamp" is a description I'd apply to my BP26 which begs the question what, if any difference is there between the SP-3's analog preamp section and the BP26.  I'll wait for your response before I go nuts and trade in the BP26.

I must say that I always liked the Bryston in silver but if I would have to buy the SP-3 I would have a big problem. The silver is beautiful but then the black is killer.
