Hello from Canada
« on: 22 Jan 2023, 04:29 pm »
Hello Audio Circle!

I am getting back into hifi music listening after many years of simply listening to the radio.  Born in the 1960s and having grown up in the "Golden years" of tube and solid state hifi, I'm in the midst of pulling together some old (vintage??) gear to enjoy.

Having visited Audio Circle a few times during my research of said gear, I thought I would join and perhaps contribute some of my learnings as I go (and continue to learn of course).

Thanks,
Todd

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

I'm going to head over to either the tube or vintage areas to talk about my newly purchased 1965 Dynaco ST70.

Is one or the other a better place to ask advice on what to update internally (or what to leave be)?  The amp is completely stock (absolutely no changes) so I'm not sure if I want to chase down all of the "recommended" changes I've read about.

Thanks!
