Waiter, there's a transparent circular disc in my tweeter

What is it doing there? Replacing the original tweeter's plastic diffraction (dispersion) piece, I guess.
What can you tell us about the purpose?

Hi - it helps improve the off-axis smoothness of the tweeter.
