Happy New year to all. Just joined and looking to do research on GR Research speakers. Planning on building some this summer and doing some research before I commit to a model. Looking at the GK 2.1 model as well as the X-series but have a few questions about each speaker as well the build process involved with each one. There seems to be a lot about the X-series (especially the Encore), but not nearly as much about the GK 2.1. This will be my first DIY speaker build. Anyway, I will ask my more specific questions in later threads.  This is mainly to introduce myself to the group. Glad you are all here!

thank you. When/if I am approved, is there a recommended place in audiocircle to post about questions I have regarding different speaker lines at GR research? In reading some of the other threads it seems this community covers EVERY THING audio related and there are a lot of people here who have a wealth of knowledge far beyond me.  I have pretty good woodworking knowledge, skills, and equipment, but I know very little about electronics or audiophile lingo. This all seems a little overwhelming.

3.  Can't audition ahead of time.

4.  Not taking advantage of loudspeaker manufacturers with decades of experience and testing facilities.

= Focus on outward appearance and disregarding internal treatment to increase bass and lower peaky midranges and resonances.
