Scottdazzle's system, a Two-channel Audio System by Scotthobby

Room Size
14 x 10 x 7.5
System Overview
This is a two-channel, music only system in my private little corner of the universe. The larger family room has multi-channel home theater AV with a JVC player, Vizio big-screen, Adcom electronics, and KEF speakers all around.
Music Preferences
Acoustic jazz, rock'n'roll, r&b, symphonic classical, acoustic folk/bluegrass/celtic, women singers.
Room Description
Too small. About 14 x 10 x 7.5 with a closet behind the system on the front wall. I replaced the hallway door with a solid door to help isolate the room from the rest of the house.
Acoustic Treatment
2 GIK elite pillar traps in the rear corners, 2 GIK table traps beside the chairs, Eighth Nerve corner traps, two moveable Real Traps mini traps mostly used for first reflections, one more minitrap at junction of side wall and ceiling. Pleated shades on windows.
Listening Impressions
Near-field listening by necessity. Room treatments have helped to tame the worst room interactions. Soundstage is smaller than I'd like, but the overall effect is quite musical. There is a nice sweet spot and room for 2 listeners only.
Media Storage
Lots of cabinets and shelves for extensive cd & lp collection. Ikea 5x5 expedit for LP's.
