Hey everyone - I’m considering a couple speakers SP Tech Continuum AD and Coincident Pure Reference which has brought me to Audio Circle on numerous occasions. These seem to be fairly awesome speakers. I think the Coincidents are just going to be too big. I have a pair of Revel Ultima Gem 1s for my main room but looking for a second set.

Replying to my own thread in hopes of getting to the magic 3 posts.  I've read extensively about SP Tech / Aether and Bob Smith. It certainly devolved into a rather scurrilous tail of good intentions wrought with bad business sense. Quite the shame. It does give me pause about Continuum ADs, though probably shouldn't. Its not like bad juju is passed through speakers. If you've read these two posts of mine, thanks. If you have any advice on the Continuums please share. I'm afraid the Conincident PRs are going to be too big for my space. Cheers

I would be concerned with the fact that SP Tech is long gone, and there is no way to service the speakers if something failed. I've heard one of the floorstanding SP's, and they were very good. I am not familiar with the Coincident line so I am no help there. Maybe look at different brands to see if there is anything that fits both your budget and taste. GR Research, Hollis Audio, Odyssey, Spatial and Bryston all produce speakers and have manufacturers circles here at AC. GR, Odyssey and Bryston all make stand mounts, and GR is the only one who sells kits so you can build it yourself if that is appealing to you.
