Suggest looking into active speakers (low voltage input feed crossover which feeds one channel of amplification per each driver). Superior performance to passive (typical consumer) speakers. Active speakers are used by nearly all recording/mixing studios, provide stunning deep bass output and very accurate. Prices start at $89 each (JBL 305 Mk2 which I've heard and liked) and go up to 15,000 euros for 20-20,000 Hz response, built in DAC, and built in room EQ (Dutch & Dutch 8C).
