I am just curious what would happen if the PR in my passive sub was replaced w/ an active MegaWoofer wired out of phase.  Other than not being able to "tune" the speaker, what would happen.

I no nothing about speaker design and I am NOT thinking about actually doing this, I am just completely curious as to what would happen to the sub's sound, etc.

There would be very little output with 2 actives wired antiphase.

Wired in phase the output level would increase 3dB but the cutoff frequency would rise about 2 octaves to perhaps 70Hz.
