Being born and raised in the SF bay area and a Giants fan all my life (I had a tryout with them while in college), I am totally shocked at the fact they have the best record in MLB.
I had them targeted for 3 place behind the Dodgers and Padres. I know the season is not over and they likely will fade once in the playoffs but this has been a season to remember. As interesting as the run they had in the early 2010s when moving to their new ball park. I was a season ticket holder and was a gloating fan watching the 3 WS runs. What makes the current run so interesting is they are doing it with a bunch (not all but a majority) of no names unlike their earlier successes.
