The DAC-80 is now available and officially replaces the DAC-100 which has been discontinued.
Performance between the two is identical since the same circuitry, chipset and parts are used.
There are 3 primary differences:
1) The DAC-80 has no headphone amp or capabilities
2) The DAC-80 has a 4v output versus a 2v output allowing it to be used also as a preamp in some systems
3) The DAC-80 is $795 msrp and the DAC-100 was $1095
