« on: 20 Jun 2019, 05:18 pm »
This is a 20 year old unit (original B60R) -does anyone know what the headphone output is from the B60 into a 600 ohm headphone ? IOW how many mW ?

Assuming an input voltage of 2V (standard line level), and the B60R's preamp section is at full gain (6db), the output voltage would be 4V, resulting in a 600 Ohm power of ~27 mW

Math is (4 X 4)/600 = 0.0266...

The preamp section's output stage is capable of considerably more power than this, but this is the most it's going deliver in normal use into 600 Ohms.

Thanks Mike -Beyer says 10 mW is required so this will do nicely.Guy I bought the B60 from pretty much only used it for headphones -but don't remember what  make and model  - at any rate drives Beyer T1-gen 2 just fine.
