Introduction
« on: 11 Dec 2016, 03:24 pm »
Hello all, just a brief intro. I am a life-long music fanatic which I'm sure describes all of you as well. I have a nice system in a small dedicated room and listen to al broad range  of music.....rock, jazz, small ensemble classical. I like my system but often feel as though it is a little polite and lacks something. I am interested in learning about high efficiency speakers and low powered amps. I would like to talk to people who switched from traditional SS amps and average efficiency speakers to this kind of system. Hoping to learn a lot before making changes.   Thanks, JimCTVTDV

Hi,
I see you are in the right way.
it is a little polite and lacks something.
What is your system now?
Maybe this consequense from SS amplification + xover loudspeakers. You also would consider Alnico fullrange drivers to a direct(no xover or filters) performance.
In this case a small tube amp already suffice.
