Hi, my name is Andre. I am setting up my system (again). It consists of an Arcam SACD player, an Ars-Sonum Filarmonia amplifier and a pair of Merlin TSM-MX speakers. I am looking to introduce a remote volume control.

As I mentioned in my introductory post, I am looking to introduce a remote-controlled volume control. Would a passive attenuator (like the Placette RVC) work, if connected between the output of my SACD player and the CD input of my amplifier?

Any attenuator potentiometer will work, however you have to find out the ideal type and values, number of steps, shunt or ladder and att Klog you want.
