Hello everyone,

I really like the Sansui G6000, 7000, and 7500 receivers.  They aren't cheap any longer.  I also like the analog displays and meters.

I then decided to look at the x700 line that came out early 80s, because I figured there would be a better value offering.

Not a huge fan of the partial digital display, however I can make an exception for cheap watts!

At any rate, there were some very noticeable build changes between the lines.  Let's take a look!  I am curious if someone here has more knowledge in this space than I do.  I'll include pics of the G9000 versus the G9700.  The G9000 looks like it was built like a tank!  The G9700 has much more open space under the hood.  Is this because of miniaturization of audio components or were they clearly skimping and cutting corners on the x700 line?  That is what I want to know!

Thanks for the listen!

There is more capacitance in the 9000.
This gives better dynamics.
It is the better choice.
