Proud Pompa (Grandfather)
« on: 29 Apr 2023, 12:07 am »
My Granddaughter and I finished up a soldering project I got for her. It is a little electronic piano for her brother. Her soldering is getting pretty good. Look at how small the gauge is for the hook up wire, 20awg. She did a really good job of controlling the heat and getting good connections without damaging anything. It works and has different settings for different instruments. Pretty cool little thing.

Let us know when she's ready to solder our DIY SMDs that we can't even see anymore.

She already has better solder gun technique than this professional:

I was thinking of getting her something more challenging, I'm just not sure what. You've unintentionally given me a starting point since I had to look up what an SMD is.

Good job!

Thank You. She really likes the nice comments when I post her projects.

You do have some of the funnier replies to these threads. Thank You and please continue when I do post projects.

That's great!  :thumb:

Has she begun accepting jobs yet? I've got a pair of crossovers that need help.

I showed her your response, and she got a big ole smile and giggled. I do believe she liked it.  :D

Thanks Peter, it looks like a good place to find projects. We'll take a look this afternoon when she gets done with Girl Scouts.

She may find some inspiration knowing about the founder of the company. I'll admit to living a little vicariously through your granddaughter. May she go far in life!

Impressive resume she has going there. I told her Mom about it, and sent her the links so my Granddaughter can read about her, and hopefully follow and gain some inspiration from her.

Thanks again Peter,
