Listening Impressions
My system has evolved from biamped with all VTL tube amps to Class D amps and back to Class AB. I've now downsized from modded Maggie IIIA's to LRS+ driven by the Schiit Vidar. I loved the sound of the Goldmund Job 225 but it just couldn't push the LRS+ hard enough. As much as I liked the IIIA's, I think the LRS+ are more seamless and tonally more correct. I was looking to simplify my system from biamping and active crossovers to an amp and speakers. It worked! The only weakness of the LRS is they're light on bass but with a HSU sub, that's no longer an issue as it integrates really well with the LRS+ from 60Hz down.
