A personal Pumpkin question:

Do you like most of what you listen to, or are you an "equal opportunity" listener, perhaps like the curator of a museum where "all" art has its place?

Yes Paul almost all of what I post I enjoy. There have been many LPs that have entered here I didn't care for. I still hold on to them though because
I might someday play them again and discover that ''now'' I enjoy it.

Example: Bob Dylan   There was a time I won't play a Dylan record and now I do.  :D

There are albums I don't post at all because you would get tired of me posting the same thing over and over again
Example: Dire Straights ~ Communique   It sees a regular rotation here. Sometimes 3 or more times in a week.

Cool. I do see a definite large number of "obscure" psychedelic era stuff.

I don't think most of it is all that obscure. If your not that into psychedelic music you simply wouldn't know.

P-Mans "Rock and Roll" Vinyl LP page Album Karma

I spoke with P-Man this morning about starting an Album Karma giveaway on his thread and he said to go for it ( a great big THANK YOU,Sir.).

What is Album Karma you ask? Easy answer, the giving away of an album you'd like to share with others.

I'll start the ball rolling with a very nice copy of Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band  "Against The Wind"

A few easy ground rules to follow (I have found from experience that this works best for me, feel free to do as you see fit with your offering).............

Open to all AC members with 50+ posts. (contributing members are appreciated)
Pick a number between 1 and 30 (limited to the first 30 entrants to assure a timely transaction)
Don't duplicate entry numbers (please scan the entire thread so you don't choose a number that's already taken !!)
After 30 entries I will use Random.org to choose the winner. I will notify the winner on this thread and by PM.
Winner will send me their info and I will ship postage paid.
No reciprocation is necessary or expected.
See, told ya it was easy !!!!!

BTW, Anyone can offer an album anytime they feel the urge to give.

Now, let the entries begin and Good Luck !!!!!!! :thumb:

As per P-Man's suggestion, I have moved the Album Karma to it's own topic page. It will be a lot easier to keep track of.
Go Here to enter.

I don't play the music from my youth much anymore, but I will say this thread has motivated me to listen to stuff I haven't listened to in years.
Thanks, P-Man

Another great album Devil Doc.

Speaking of youth I don't who that is in the mirror every morning
but I wish he'd get out of the way so I could comb my hair. He's
blocking my view

I have not done it, but I am intrigued by the stevehoffman dot tv model of album exchange, this way everyone could "play."
It's called Pay It Forward and it's under the Classified section. They have a vinyl only version...

The Beacon Street Union was a 1960s psychedelic era rock band, named for a street in their native Boston, whose original members John Lincoln Wright (vocals, percussion; died 4 December 2011), Paul Tartachny (guitar, vocals), Wayne Ulaky (bass, vocals), Robert Rhodes (keyboards, bass), and Richard Weisberg (drums) all went to Boston University. With the exception of a few rock standards, their diverse music was composed by group members, primarily Wright and Ulaky.
