Bryston PI help please
« on: 9 Jan 2024, 02:09 pm »
Hi Guys,

I recently sold my Bryston Bdp 1 and I was lucky enough to purchase a secondhand Bryston PI. Unfortunately, I can't even access it via the browser.I've tried everything that I can think of but I am not having any luck. I just want to use it as a Roon endpoint.

Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Cheers Rod

Just to rule out the possibilities...ensure ethernet is connected to the pi, once the pi is booted it will show the ip adddress on the screen eg: 192.168.1.23
if its not shown on the screen use the arrow button up/down from the pi to view it.
type that address on the address bar on your web page it should show up.
if no go...power down pi wait 10 sec then power on again wait till it boots up and green light is on.

if not try this (http://support.bryston.com/)

Click on My Bryston your devices should show up with the ip address for the bdp-pi.

hope this helps

Anthony

That is what I use my Pi for , mostly.  Let us know how it sounds once you get it going.

Note: I think that I had to have support mail me an update and install it to bring my Pi back to life after buying it on the used market.

Might be time to contact Bryston directly and see if they will send you a micro disk for an update.
