I noticed that two of the cases don't mention any 5.25 external drive bays, hard to tell if a CD/DVD drive can be installed.

You didn't mention the motherboard size: ATX, microATX, miniITX. As with everything in life - size matters.

I agree, where is the mounting hardware for hard drives?  I guess it does not matter if you do all M.2 SSD's.

I use a Fractal Design R5 Quiet Case for my computer.  It is all modular and it truly is quiet.  Unfortunately, the price has doubled in the last 5 years.

Actually this motherboard is going from an Antec case to the new case, and the motherboard from the "bad" case is going into the Antec case.

I have external USB DVDROM if needed, but a DVDROM slot would be nice but isn't a deal breaker.

Just as long as it's black, and I don't necessarily need a window.
