If you like the idea of using the Ear+ haedphone amp as a line preamp as well, the new Ear++ provides enhanced performance in this area. A 12BH7A dual triode is added and used to provide buffered line outputs. The result is a low output impedance for driving longer cables and power amps with lower input impedance (as low as 20K Ohms) with no effect on the gain or sonics of the headphone output.
