Can C1 be bypassed in the DVA101 if I have bypassed the Buffer Amplifier too (my CD player has coupling capacitors)?

If you're using fet opamps in the buffer amplifier then you can probably omit the capacitor at the input of the dva101. Check to see what the dc offset is at the output of the dva101 before you connect a loudspeaker. Anything under 50mV will be fine.
