6H3ne tubes
« on: 21 Oct 2012, 10:24 pm »
Ended up with some Russian 6H3ne tubes as part of a purchase. Not sure what they are used for or what if any other tube they are equivalent to? Any ideas? Also what might a pair of what look like brand new 6H3ne tubes might be worth?

In Moscow it sell for 2 Euros each(un-matched, factory tested):
http://www.gstube.com/catalog/?key=6n3p

One equivalent is 6CC42, also a Russian model.
Some datasheet:
http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/cgi-bin/vs4.pl

This datasheet inform the gain is 36x, so it is the same gain from the also 9 pin 12AY7(gain=40), but it dont mean they are equivalents.
My 2 cents

Thanks FRM...so not worth much and not useful as substitute for a common tube?

I unable to say anything for sure on price and demand for sale on western.
But what I know is any tube worth much times more after burned, tested and matched in pairs, as in this process many tubes are rejected.

Hope these your tubes are not rejected, looks good for safety if you could test they in a tube tester to obtain some solid data.
