Looking for a better transport to go with your DAC?  Can't find one?  You can't go wrong with the affordable Shigaclone.  Since MAR 2008 the Shigaclone has been continuously tinkered with, modded, upgraded and worked on thanks to the non stop efforts of the DIY community.  This is a great transport to build.

How much does the project typically cost?

My understanding is you're going to be buying Wadia or the like to improve on this transport.

Please read the thread about the new GB I have linked.  See post #19, $225 euro for the parts.

For the chassis case or buy your own.
case $225 euro
also
case $440 euro for the more expensive one.

Ya, I get lost in the threads, and the website doesn't give a clear view.

It needs a wiki or consolidated thread that removes the searching and links to specific posts.

Not everyone is a forum aficionado, some just like to order and build. At most they register to find projects.

I feel the same way.

It would be great to have one place or one post that contains all info on the parts necessary, the cost, and any other info.

Not links to other 300 page long threads starting in 2008. But something current.

However, I did put myself on the list to commit to buy one.

simoon,

Are you ordering the high grade version for 399 euro or the standard for 138 euro?
Are you ordering the chassis from vicol audio cheaper 225 or expensive 440 euro?
Or get the case from some place else?

I'm buying the standard version with the upgraded drive.

Not sure what I'm going to do about a chassis yet.
