haha, thanks Guy, and a happy new year too. It seems like such a long time ago now to me.

I am actually doing a little work from home while mummy and baby are asleep. We also have a 3 year old who is seeking a lot of attention as you must know. With two, three just seems very brave.

Matt black must absorb all the light. I can see what you mean (or not see should I say). we will certainly try to avoid that then.

Mind you the future seems to be everyone wanting to control their life from their tablet computers so may become less critical. I am still a fan of red personally. I also like to walk up to my amp and turn the volume up. So being able to see it is indeed important to me. Now I need reading glasses though, they never seem to be where I need them. The frame is matt black!

Hi Haider and all Audio Circle members.
This will be my last post, you have more important things top do
than reading my posts.
Important things like changing diapers.
I also don’t mind getting up to change a CD or vinyl
or change the volume control setting.
However, I am not sure if I will still enjoy or not getting up
in 20 years from now?
I am really not a fan of iPad, tablets, mobile phone
or whatever you call it.
I have a Nokia 35 USD mobile phone that receives
and send calls with a memory for numbers
and that’s about it.
My wife went thru several expensive phones,
while mine is still working after 5 years
and never changed the battery;
she can’t say the same with her expensive fill to the rim with gadgets…
Minds you, I would not mind having a dedicated remote that looks like a mobile phone with big enough icons that would make me leave my reading glasses somewhere in the house…
If you may let me, I will complain or better,
make some constructive criticisms.
I find all displays on most of electronic equipment to be always way too small;
of course if you are 30 years old and have a 20/20 vision, then it’s no problem,
but the manufacturers never think about us the baby boomers or the old far,
to use a funny expression.
For many years I’ve been dreaming of having a job as a consultant to improve equipment of all kind.
I think the manufacturers don’t test and try on the field what they market.
Maybe they do that on purpose to always have to chance to say:
New and Improved !
For me a good product is a product that you don’t need an instruction manual,
a product that is intuitive and a product that will last and can be repaired for a minimum of 20 years.
Yes, I know, I am dreaming in clolor.
Yes, I know, the manufacturers will say:
We will all go bankrupt if all the products we manufacture last 20 years.
Well that’s life.

You are not dreaming in colour at all Guy. In fact we are not that far off your mind.

The difficulty is finding a clever solution. I am not personally a mad fan of displays and would dispense with them wherever possible.

Simple, on, volume up and play.

Now where is my cup of coffee?

Thanks for your feed back. have a greet day.
