I like my Denon AVP-8000 with Denon 5 channel amp.

I have a similar system, Vandy 2Ce's and even though they are rated at a low 88db, most typical receivers can drive them to respectable levels.  I am using a Parasound 85 wpc 5 channel amp feeding it from a Pioneer Elite receiver and that amp can drive the 2Ce's to levels higher then anyone can listen for more then a minute or two.

Check out  the Pioneer Elite VSX-60, new for about $500.
Home Theater Magazine gave the Pioneer Elite VSX-52 a very good review last year. I'm sure that this unit will also do well.
