Gzerro,
So I did the test 20-80hz.   the total range 70db-85db
would definitely appreciate intepretation of the results and consequent advice on PEQ settings if needed.

At the risk of looking like an idiot, thee measurements taken with sub alone, with mains disconnected right?

Good job! Yes it is correct to measure the sub by itself.

First of all you have a really good room! +-6db is fantastic. I wish mine was that good.
A small adjustment at 40Hz wouldn't hurt. Gain -5, width around 10 o'clock on the dial.
Here is the link on the Rythmik guide to the PEQ settings:
http://www.rythmikaudio.com/amplifier_controls.html

If I were you I would just set my x-over around 40-50Hz to slip in under your STs and enjoy.
Take care,
Tom

G,
Didn,t know I had a good room! Good to know. Time to listen a bit more and fiddle with knobs less!
Having said that I willl give your settings a whirl.. In gratitude I,d like to send you a cd compilation I am making with a bassy emphasis. Eclectic music from electronica to Lou reed.
For that matter also Tj hub and Doug who patiently answered, would you like a cd comp?
If you would like the cd, pls send me your address.
Thanks

Finally the sound is coming together.. More balanced than before, and good, not overblown bass impact.. Crossing over at 50hz, with the peq adjustments as suggested. The peq adjustments definitely helping.

Can relax an d enjoy the music without any fussing with dials for a bit!
