B&W driver swap CDM1 NT

After watching your YT video on the B&W CDM1 NT's it got me wondering if swapping drivers with the HIVI  L6-8R might get rid of some of the woofer problems. From the looks of it the driver is a clone of the B&W but seems to perform better.
Cheers

If you start swapping drivers then a custom crossover will have to be designed for it.

Do you think starting off with a better performing driver would change the amount of tweaking to the crossovers to get them sounding correct vs the stock B&W's or just muddy things up? Looking at the 2 side by side it's amazing how 'similar' they are.

Honestly, by the time you get to that point, it doesn't make sense. You are then only salvaging the box and the box isn't really worth anything.

Before going that far it is best to start over and just build one of our DIY kits and then just blow right past them in every way.

Hi Simon, listen to Danny, he will not steer you wrong. If a small two way stand mount is required, try the XLS Encore. If a smaller floor stander can be used go for the X-MTM Encore. You will not regret it.

Best of luck,
