I am looking for a nice power conditioner with no surge protection or at least no MOV.  Any suggestions?  Maybe under $600

Check out PI Audio Group.  UberBuss over budget. MiniBuss under your budget.  I use the UberBuss in my system with great results.

Brick Wall or Surge-x might do it for you.

Buy a Surge-X and ask Dave (ZenWave Audio) to modify it for you. The other alternative if you don't need surge protection is a MiniBuss. I have both and highly recommend either one of them.

IF you're down for DIY I'll walk you through creating something that takes down fatigue that'll keep you listening much longer, while offering some other benefits as well.

Otherwise the Uber is probably a good idea for quiet a bit more. Dave's redone SurgeX would be ok, I don't know about price but if it's stuffed with GTX-R(D) sockets it's going to be an obvious upgrade to your ears.

I'd be interested in hearing about this.

I've wondered if the mad scientist stuff really works.

I think a number of us would appreciate this as a public post.

+1 Surge-X makes a very solidly engineered, zero BS product. Dave takes this excellent base and improves on it for us audio hobbyists (with better parts throughout, plus shielding and damping). Dave takes care of his customers very well too.

I'm sure the Pi Audio products are excellent as well.

You might want to look at the zero surge units. SurgeX licenses their technology

I have a Zero Surge unit. I like that the Surge X has some filtering.

I have the Brickwall version for the last 10 years , set and forget.
I hear absolutely no sound degradation ever.

I prefer not. It tends to get ugly with arguing and such in a hurry. For those interested in making something, I'm all yours.

I have a Surgex SA1810 in my system and intend to use it until I can afford something fancy like a Torus.
