I have added a new Thorens TD-124 to the family!  It’s a Artisan Fidelity Table that
has had the electronics gone over by STS to included one of their bearings and the
Motor is by Simone Lucchetti of Audiosilente.  I currently have a Micro Seiki MA-505 Mk iii Arm
and Dynavector XX2 Mk ii Cartridge installed....I have another Garrard 301 being gone over by Chris at
Woodsong Audio and will post pics of it soon.

The last picture is a peak at what my Garrard 301 will look like when completed.

That is just Freaking Gorgeous !  I'd love to hear it sometime. 

BTW, did everyone see the article in Stereophile on Garrard bringing back the 301 ?  Very, very nice but pricey - $23,500 with an SME M2-12R arm.  I think for that kind of money, a VPI Classic Direct with the VPI "Fatboy" gimbaled arm is a better buy.  Reportedly after VPI sells the first 400, they will introduce the Classic Direct sans arm for less $$$.  I am waiting to see how much less.....

Garrard 301 update.....this is my 301 grease bearing just back from Woodsong Audio after a complete update/refresh.  Chris Harban is one of the best in the business for 301 and TD-124 restoration and is a super nice guy on top of it.  The tonearms are next and I have a AMG 12” arm and a Jelco 10”  arm that I am planning on installing.    Cartridges will be a My Sonic Lab Eminent and either a Koetsu RWS Platinum or something in a Stone body Koetsu.

Just installed the Jelco 750e on the back and will install my Lyra mono cartridge this weekend....
