Title: Record clamp on WTA
Post by: tipatina on 11 Sep 2020, 01:37 am
Anyone using a clamp on WTA? In particular, interested in peripheral clamp but they look pretty heavy. Don’t know how this would work with WTA motor.

I would say no. I'm not aware of any type of clamp that would be compatible with the WTA.  If you're having a problem with somewhat warped vinyl, I would try a Vinyl Flat device.

Yes that’s it. I’ll check out a Vinyl Flat. Do You have experience with one?

No, I don't have any first hand experience, but there have been quite a few discussions over at AudioAsylum in regard to the Vinyl Flat system.( Vinyl Forum) Just use the search engine once you're at the Vinyl Forum.

i specifically asked mike pranka when i got my amadeus, and noticed the quite tall center spindle

his answer was an emphatic NO

btw mike is an absolute prince, so helpful, bailed me out of tight spots with quick replies and needed advice several times now
