here a couple of pics of the new Argos from the finish room. the Argos is based on the DA-1.1, it is 1.75" taller to accommodate the mass of maple built into the base of the cabinet ( like what I did with the Athena), it also has a 5/8" solid ash back laminated onto the Baltic Birch for an aprox. 1 3/8" think back same as the Ulysses.
the big change here is the sculpted baffle for improved imaging.
thanks,
lou

Very nice Lou. I bet they'll sound as sweet as they look. 8)

This is going to be a great loudspeaker. Mike P has his on order and can't wait.

Hi Lou,
Will this speaker have the offset tweeters like the 1.1?

yes it will have the same driver/crossover configuration as the DA-1.1. we'll see how it does for imaging and wide sweetspot....
thanks,

I can't wait to hear these. The imaging is very good with the DA-1.1s, so with improved imaging it will be right there with the Ulysses, but with a wider sweet spot. :thumb:

Lou, do you have a rough idea on the price of this new model?

Beautiful Lou. Daedalus is on my bucket list. Hopefully some day.

they will be $12,950 complete.
includes AP crossover etc, grills and outriggers.
the maple is built into the base of the cabinet so the maple bases are unnecessary.
thanks,
