Promi DAC and the Monarchy DIP Upsampler

I have the Promitheus Audio Solid State DAC (standard version). Really enjoying this DAC.
It's detailed and punchy but still smooth sounding.

I would like to use the Monarchy Audio DIP 48/96 Upsampler with the Promi DAC. The DIP Upsampler
gives a noticeably blacker background and improved soundstage when used with NOS (my Paradisea+) DACs.

The only option for output from the Monarchy into the Promi is RCA. The Promi DAC works just fine with either
a S/PDIF RCA or USB input direct from the source (PC). But it just doesn't seem to accept a RCA signal from
the Monarchy? When the Monarchy locks onto an incomming signal, it's green LED illuminates ...that is happening.
When the Promi DAC locks onto an incoming signal, it's red LED illuminates ...that is not happening when they are
connected together. The ouput selector switch on the Monarchy and the input selector switch on the Promi are both
set to 'RCA'.

Any thoughts on why these two devices are not communicating?

Any and all replies are appreciated :)
