But I have learned that it's not wise at all to take any one person's opinion of the character and quality of the sound to heart. In fact, I would never buy something from a vendor based on what was said here or on any other forums. You've got to hear it as well and find a manufacturer/designer/engineer who backs it.
I owned some gear by a vendor at this show. Everyone thought the stuff was great...really great. But the gear I bought developed problems and the guy who makes it, did not want to fool with fixing it correctly. In fact, I am convinced the gear is not designed well and he uses inferior made parts. It was an expensive lesson, to say the least. I will give him some credit, he did buy it back at a reduced priced, so I did not have to pass on the crap to another person. It took about a year to get the whole thing done.
That's my honest commentary...IMHO
