Listening to a solo pianist Yiruma on Youtube.

Who generally make better pianist, Men or Woman or does it just depend on the individual and gender has nothing to do with it?

Gender has nothing to do with it; it's all about the genius.

In point, check out Alexei Melnikov and Yuja Wang.

Just enjoy the gifts.  :thumb:

There is an argument for a strength being a virtue for certain composers... Rachmaninoff comes to mind (and there are fine female pianist playing Rachmaoninoff).  But I suspect that it is more that certain composers speak more vividly to certain pianist.  I can't imagine anyone surpassing Alicia de Larrocha playing Spanish composers. She was born to it.
Take a few minutes to listen to Falla's "Nights in the Gardens of Spain"

Lise de Salle might be the most potent, hard hitting, fastest, most ferocious classical pianist I've heard. She looks like a pale, slight waif on the outside, but her music tells another story.

Her marketing image:

In reality her arms are twice as big as mine. Pity that keyboard.  :icon_lol:

Julia Fischer the same way. She performs on piano now. Just as strong and determined on piano as she is on violin.
