Christmas Eve Snow - My first time lapse video
« on: 25 Dec 2010, 01:46 am »
I see what I've done wrong. However, it did make for a neat effect.
The camera was located on a tripod in my kitchen, aimed at the back deck which already has 4" of snow. In ten seconds, 264 pictures show about one more inch accumulation. I think I set the shutter to open every 30 seconds. Manual focus was turned off, but all other "auto" settings are at the Nikon D200 default.
Once I learn how to use the unit, I'll get better.

To the fellow who loaned me the D200, thank you.

Kinda cool watching the lighting take over.

Cooler yet is watching the top of the Igloo cooler.  :thumb:

Make my day Bob and tell me there's margaritas in there!

Great first take!!!

Merry Christmas,
Jerry

Thanks Jerry.
Screwing up the lighting dis give me some ideas for future time lapse sequences. If nothing else, I can learn from my mistakes and make something positive come from them.

That's actually not a cooler. It's an electric smoker.
But it sure would do well keeping the 'ritas cold right now!  :thumb:
