2007 My Listening Space

Thumbnail for This is the new VMPS RM-V60. It is upper range unit to a 4 piece system. The bass towers, which have not yet arrived, will roll in around 55Hz.
Thumbnail for This is the back wall to my listening room showing some of the room treatments. The sclupture is from a friend of mine. The illusion is of a man extruding from the wall. For you science fiction fans, the idea came from when Hans Solo was frozen in carbonite.
Thumbnail for This is my new VMPS RM-V60. It makes up 1/4 of a 4 piece system. The bass towers have yet to arrive. Until then I am using a single loaner VMPS VSS modified Larger subwoofer to fill in below 55Hz.
Thumbnail for Here is another shot catching both VMPS RM V-60 speakers. The room is 21' x 15' with a 12' peak in the cathedral ceiling. All the room corners are treated.
Thumbnail for These are the older VTL Deluxe 100 monos, along with the venerable and as aged Electron Kinetics Eagle 2a. On top is the mono Dayton 1000W plate amp for the temporary loaner subwoofer. You can also see some of my acoustic treatments. Yes, the artificial plants are acoustic treatments. They work especially well with dipoles to aid in diffraction / diffusion.
Thumbnail for Here are some more acoustic treatments to tame those nasty corners.
Thumbnail for Not so long ago this was my hybrid Martin Logan / Infinity speaker system. I had the Infinity RS1bs for over 17 years, and towards the end of that time introduced the CLS 1 into the equation. I used to switch them in and out. It took 17 years for me to find a suitable replacement. I found that in the new VMPS RM-V60 4 piece reference system.

Thumbnail for This is a nice picture of my room currently being used by VMPS as an advertizement for their RM-V60. On the left side of the picture is the loaner subwoofer in use while I wait on the delivery of the VLA bass towers to complete this system.
