For Sale: An Audible Illusions Modulus 3A preamp. This unit was originally a 3 and then up graded to a 3A in 1995. Included are two sets of tubes: a new pair of Electro-Harmonix, a new pair of Sovtek's that were cryogenically treated (deep frozen) and a quad of Russian tubes from Upscale Audio (

Though the preamp functions perfectly, there is some static in the volume controls, noticed when rotating the stepped back illuminated knobs. There is a fine moving magnet phono section--which via the tape out is mostly how I've used it, thus by passing the linestage and volume controls etc. I am the second owner and selling not because I've upgraded but to pay bills. I've the manual and original shipping box (which will be double boxed). PayPal okay. Asking $830. ~Tom
