One of those songs I've remembered since its release in the mid-60's. Probably my first exposure to a type of jazz.

I have read she had earned only $120usd for this songs at the time.

I read about her passing yesterday (in Philly). I thank her "Girl from Ipanema" for introducing me to Stan Getz and the cool California saxophone. Sad to see another one go!  :cry:

Heloísa Pinheiro(born 1945) the muse who inspired the song "Girl from Ipanema" turned 80 years old yesterday in stunning beauty, incredible.
