I got this HD videocamera (HV30) to upgrade my Sony Digital8.
It is very small and very high quality.
I finally have my video processing PC set up but I am starting out with a $50 editing package called Magix Movie Edit Pro 14. It seems like a great price for a package that will do HDV. It really does looks pretty good but I am just getting started. Apparently it only loads video to disk from this camera with the preview window turned off. Not a huge deal but kind of a weakness. I can still see the video on the cameras LCD. I also found a free utility that will dump the raw video to disk, but haven't tried it yet.
What other editing packages do you guys use besides the high end ones such as Adobe Premiere, Apple Final Cut Pro. I have a PC so I need advice on PC versions.
