World's first review, or US's first?

To my knowledge, (and according to Rega) the first in the world.  Have you seen one anywhere else?

What Hi-Fi and Hi-Fi Choice seem to have reviews too.

There might be others too, but I didn't follow up on them.

tech radar sounds like a regurgitation of a press release and the what hi-fi review is pretty short.  Not much info there.

So I guess if you want to be picky about semantics....

I'd still feel comfortable saying we've got the first in-depth review.  What's your point?

Judging from that review Rega's going to sell a ton of those.  That really sounds like the table to recommend for a new vinyl enthusiast.

It's certainly easy to set up for someone who knows nothing about turntables, and you can upgrade the cart a bit if you desire.  Add a reasonable phono stage and it's amazingly good.  Of course there will be plenty of arguments about it vs. this or that, but it is definitely a great no fuss place to start your vinyl journey.

So with the end of P2 production...does the RB251 tonearm go bye-bye, as well?

I'd think so, but you never know

"Does that mean it will be the end of the legendary RB250 (called RB251 in the P2) tonearm? 'Not really,' said Roy. Rega will still make the RB251 tone arm on an OEM basis for other manufacturers like Origin Live and Michell. However, he added that OEM orders come only once a while. 'A company may order 100 tone arms and you don't hear from them for a few years,' he said."
