Dynavector P75

Hi

Has anyone here upgraded from the DV P75 mk2 to the mk3 version? If so is there a big improvement in sound quality? I am being offered the Mk2 version second hand for £300 which i think is quite a good price.

They're close- it was mostly a change to allow for various cartridge loadings for non-Dynavector cartridges.

Hi Jack. I echo Charlie's opinion. The P300 which fits internally to the L300 DV pre amp was a much bigger improvement when I changed to it. The second hand P75 mk2 at 300 quid if in full working order is a good buy IMO. In fact I sold mine a year or so ago for just that amount.

Thanks Charlie and Rob

I will drive down later today and snap it up! the P75 will pave a clear path to the DV xx2 i have my heart set on later in the year... without the potential headaches of matching a low output MC with my EAR834P

Best Wishes

Hi Jack,
Good choice. With the XX2, be sure to load the P75 in PE mode ( phono enhancer). If you need help just ask.

Enjoy!

Thanks Charlie

Ive bought the P75 but not had a chance to listen to it yet as one of my 300b tubes decided to throw in the towel yesterday morning. I have a very nice spare pair that i keep for sunday best so i will have a listen tonight to this cute little new phonostage. Its set for MM, I have AN IQ2 MM cartridge at present so wont need to take the lid off just yet.

Best Regards

Jack
