my m901 with dodd buffer and battery power supply did not get along with my dali ikon 8's.
the 8's are 6 ohm, 90-91 db sen.,had two 8" bass drivers, midrange driver and a dome/planar high frequency module.  there was no bass. the m901 worked just fine with my 8 ohm ushers which are 87db.  went to a 50 watt tube integrated and the bass was there.

I've seen that before and it was explained to me that tube amps can have a peak in the mid-bass that just works better for certain speakers.

If we ever get the darn THREE finished (maybe never conceivably), it has a bass boost and maybe would work for these situations.

Horror stories welcome here to save people any possible let-down.
